THE PEASANT CIRCUIT - AT THE HEART OF RURAL TRADITION

 

Located at the foothills of the Adirondacks, in the Haut-Saint-Laurent Valley, the Circuit du Paysan offers you a 194-kilometre signposted route that will take you through the most beautiful rural and bucolic landscapes of the Montérégie to discover unique products. . The Circuit du Paysan is recognized as one of the best gourmet routes in the province. Several themes and events are held there from May to October. U-pick berries, apples, vineyards, cider factories, cheese and delicatessen, honey and mead, livestock farms and lavender production are the main star products.

Along the American border between the Richelieu River and Lake Saint-François, discover the richness of a built heritage with its architectural gems such as churches, ancestral homes and old cemeteries. Coming from the south shore of Montreal, its looped route is easily accessible by exit 21 of Highway 15 South in Napierville.

The employees and management of each company undertake to constantly monitor the quality of the welcome and to do everything possible to fully satisfy you and offer you an unforgettable tourist experience.  The members of the Circuit du Paysan offer you a schedule that makes your life easier : From June 24 to Thanksgiving, the vast majority of businesses are open at least 3 days a week including weekends. However, it is advisable to check the schedule of each company before you go, since some of them are closed on Sundays or at the start of the week. In addition, some businesses are seasonal, that is, their opening period is limited to a product or service offered over a short period of time. These companies will respect the established schedule, but only for the duration of their busy period.   At other times, it is best to call before showing up. Also, several businesses are open year-round ; check the schedule for each outside the summer season. The companies of the Circuit du Paysan thank you for respecting the times that are offered to you.
